Why we built
Doclast.
Doclast started with a simple problem.
Creating contracts was slow, repetitive, and often frustrating.
Years ago, we organized an event for designers. To help them work with clients, we created a simple contract template — just a Word document, nothing more.
But the response was clear.
Thousands of people needed a better way to handle contracts.
Over time, we saw the same pattern again and again. People weren't struggling with writing documents — they were struggling with the process around them.
This wasn't a document problem. It was a workflow problem.
After working with startups and building products, we learned something important.
Good products solve real needs — not just technical possibilities.
That meant building something simple, focused, and useful — not a tool that was technically clever but practically ignored.
Doclast evolved from a single template into a platform — not just for contracts, but for how documents are created, shared, and managed end to end.
We're building Doclast to:
- Remove repetitive work
- Reduce human error
- Simplify document workflows
- Give people control over their documents
Doclast is currently in development and early access. We're working closely with early users to shape the product and improve it step by step.
